Western Carolina

She was born in Western Carolina

And that’s where she intended to stay

Oh my love she never was finer

The wind whipped tangled hair down her face

In the mountains she hid inside of

Would crumble if she’d ever leave the place

And the dogwood she grew beside of

Would never seem to forget her grace.

When the leaves turned they turned inside her

The Blue Mountains could be greener down the way

There’s a road that takes you down the line

Where the stars have all fallen down the pave

As the redbird you will reside to the pines

Where your love was engraved

And your destiny will find you

'Cause my love you were already made.

We’re reborn in Western Carolina & that’s where our hearts will remain.
